Case Studies: Remediation and Restoration
PMI recently completed the remediation / restoration of a former pipe cleaning and fabrication yard.
During the initial assessment of this property, NORM was detected at levels above the limit set forth by LDEQ. Our technical services experts remediated the surface contamination, and extensive gamma scintillation surveying later led to the unearthing of buried NORM impacted tubulars.
During this remediation, PMI characterized, manifested and disposed of 58,160 barrels of Exploration and Production Waste (E&P), NORM impacted tubular and construction debris.
Upon the completion of the Environmental Due Diligence, LDEQ released this property for unrestricted use.
